Music and Choral Program

Performing Arts at Adda Clevenger

Students take part in various theatrical, musical and choral performances during the school year. These range from dramatic stage productions, operettas and musicals to dance shows and choral concerts. Recent performances have included Guys and Dolls, Les Misérables, Annie, Once upon a Mattress, The Nutcracker, Meet Me in St. Louis, Oliver, Mamma Mia, The Mikado, Fiddler on the Roof and more.

All students of the school are members of the Adda Clevenger Youth Chorus of San Francisco. Our musical directors are Mr. Jonathan Campos and Mr. Mohab Benjamin, accompanied by Mr. Parker Grant. In addition to a well-rounded musical education including music theory, vocal coaching and dramatic interpretation, it is essential that choristers also have many opportunities to perform. The repertoire consists of a wide range of genres including classical, sacred, folk, theater, and current popular music.

In recent years the Chorus has made tours of Italy, Prague and England. Past tours have included visits to Switzerland, Austria and Italy, including performances at the Salzburg Music Festival. Students have performed concerts at the White House, International Children’s Choir Festival in London and Canterbury, and multiple concerts at Carnegie Hall.
